Summer Term 2021
Our theme this term has been called 'Tomorrows World ' and we have been learning about lots of things to do with technology of today and in the past. Part of our work was to research blogs and try to write our own blogs . so we decided to have a go at writing our own blogs about what we have being doing in our theme.
So take a look and we hope you enjoy reading them!
Problem Solving Challenging

We had to figure out what things the government spy agency's top spy should have on them in a mission. To do this we used geocaches to locate the secret messages. We used a mirror to decode the message because it was backwards, we needed to put the mirror on the message so we could see the message the right way round. We were set a challenge to find different combinations of futuristic tech that spy’s needed to wear.

Autumn Term in 5/6 C
See some of the fabulous things we have been doing this term!
Our theme has been 'The Tudors' and we have been having fun finding out all about them. We had a Tudor Immersion Day at the beginning of the term and took part in activities which would have been done in Tudor Times.
We did Tudor Dancing, Tudor Pots, made the Tudor Rose as well as Tudor Games
The Tudor Dances were great fun!
We took part in Tudor style games on our 'Tudor Immersion Day' we tried Tennis which was a popular game in the Tudor period.
Our completed Tudor Roses
Scientists in the making!!
We have been investigating in Science and we were in groups investigating different things which were all linked to the Tudors.
One group were looking at which sail was the most effective on a Tudor Ship
One group were investigating compasses and even made their own!
Another Group looked at Friction and found out the best surface for their cannon ball
One group made arrows and changed the design of the tip of the arrowhead and found out which one went the furthest.
The final group were investigating different boat shapes and holding cargo! That was a bit messy!!!!!
We have been learning how to draw portraits, we started by drawing ourselves-Do you recognise anyone?

There are a wide variety of tasks the children have completed from Pollution, Hinduism and creative tasks to writing short stories and creating wonderful pictures and posters for our fabulous key workers and NHS. We have been using learning platforms such as google classroom, dojo and purplemash.
